Welcome to the Living Room!

The living room of da Haus is quite different than the living rooms of most urban dwellings. Like most group homes, our living room is a place for us to get together and hang out, watch some TV, eat meals, and, of course, tinker with computers...

DECland is home to some of our older (and larger) technology. This small region of space is dedicated to that famous (infamous?) New England company which brought us such treasures as the PDP, LSI, VAX, and Alpha architectures. Housed in DECland is a DEC Rainbow, VT320 Terminal, VAXStation 3100, and two MicroVAX II 630's, as well as 1.6 GB of rack-mounted RA81 hard disks, a ton of documentation, and 8 years of our favorite Denny's reading, The DEC Professional. And no, we can't turn on EVERYTHING at once without blowing a fuse.

Tucked away between the couches is ATAT, a PC-XT in an old PC Fortress case which has been recently upgraded with a 486 Motherboard. ATAT can be booted into either Windows 3.11 or Linux version .95 (in memory of the first Linux box, velcro.cis.temple.edu, that we had to play with.)
